Amber

Amber got involved in bellydance in 1988. She was thumbing through a Mesa Parks & Recreation brochure to find a new form of exercise. Bellydance looked like a fun choice. She was instantly hooked on the challenge and fun of the dance. Yasmina (Pam Parker) was in the class and had started back into dancing, and soon after that became the instructor.

She has been part of several groups: Sonoran Rose, Troupe Baladi, and filled in for Stars of the Desert. For a short period of time she taught beginning bellydance at Broadway Dance Academy in Mesa.

Between 1993-1995 she took time off from dancing to further her education and became an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner. As of 2006, after a 5-year hiatus, she started taking Tribal classes from Yasmina. Tribal has always intrigued her, from the costumes to the dance moves. Her greatest excitement has been being asked to be a member of Hipnotic Hips. She feels very honored to be part of this wonderful group of ladies.
